Season 2 Episode 7

Steve Pizzati and Warren Brown challenge the city dwelling Fiat 500 and Smart Fortwo to one of the toughest off-road tracks in the world; the Coober Pedy to William Creek mail run along the 620 kilometre Oodnadatta Track. Packed to the brim with mail and delivery requests, the lads set off like a modern day Burke and Wills. Steve notices his Fiat 500 is a “…little ripper (and) has a high safety rating for low impact collisions – how reassuring!”

Steve Pizzati and Warren Brown challenge James Morrison to play a musical tune using car parts as instruments, it’s double the action on the Top Gear Australia track and we check out if Nissan has got it right with the 370Z. Proving that Crocodile Dundee, Kylie Minogue and The Wiggles are not the only good things to come out of Australia, James travels to the entertainment capital of the world, Los Angeles, to drive the Australian-built Pontiac G8 GXP. And of course for a little nose-rubbing!

In episode 2, Steve take the new HSV Clubsport R8 for a spin to figure out why Australians bought more V8's in 2008 than anyother year. They also have a look at the Holden Special Vehicle's Clubsport R8 by Walkinshaw Performance. Also on the show, Warren and Steve are given $3000 each to build their own low cost electric car from existing petrol powered ones. Warren and James race in reverse around the track in the name of science and legendary Australian rocker, Ian Moss (Cold Chisel) is the Star in the Bog Standard Car.

Season 2 Episode 1

In the first episode for the second season of Top Gear Australia, we are introduced to a new host, James Morrison and he takes the new Mitsubishi EVO X for a spin. Steve drives in the new Lambogini LP 640 from Melbourne to Portsea against James and Warren who are on a Yamaha wave-runner. Mark Skaife is the star in a bog standard car.
